Where is The A-Frame, and how far is it from Atlanta, Nashville, and Chattanooga?

The A-Frame sits on a bluff above the Sequatchie Valley near Dunlap, Tennessee, on the Cumberland Plateau at about 2,000 feet. Chattanooga is about 35 minutes away, Nashville about 2 hours, Knoxville about 2 hours, Atlanta about 2.5 hours, and Huntsville about 1.5 hours. Dunlap, for dining and groceries, is 12–15 minutes.

How many guests does The A-Frame sleep, and what is the layout?

The A-Frame is about 1,400 square feet with two bedrooms and two full bathrooms on five private acres. It has a classic open-concept A-Frame layout across multiple levels, including a third-floor loft, with the living space oriented toward the valley.

Is there a hot tub at The A-Frame?

Yes — a seven-foot Alaskan cedar hot tub on the bluffside deck, facing out over the Sequatchie Valley with no neighbouring sightlines.

How is the stargazing at The A-Frame?

The bluff sits well away from city light, so the dark skies above the deck make for exceptional stargazing. A telescope is provided in the house.

What is the deck like?

The deck is suspended over the bluff edge above the Sequatchie Valley, with the cedar hot tub, a fire pit, and seating oriented toward the view.

Does The A-Frame have stairs?

Yes. The house is multi-level in the classic A-Frame form, with a staircase to the upper level and a third-floor loft. Guests who prefer single-level living may want Jackson Point, which has no stairs between rooms.

What is there to do near The A-Frame?

The Flying Camp paragliding launch is about a mile away. Savage Gulf State Park's east trailhead is roughly 25 minutes, Fall Creek Falls State Park about 45 minutes, and Cumberland Caverns about an hour. Golfers are an hour from Sweetens Cove. Chattanooga's Tennessee Aquarium, Rock City, and Ruby Falls are all 35–45 minutes.

Who designed and built The A-Frame?

It began as a Den Outdoors A-Frame plan, customised by the owner with a steeper roof pitch, a second-story bathroom, and bespoke finishes throughout, including a custom white-oak interior.

Is there fast internet at The A-Frame?

Yes — half-gigabit fiber service at the house, which is plenty for remote work and streaming.

Can I charge an electric vehicle at The A-Frame?

Yes — there is an EV charger on site with a Tesla adapter.

Are pets or children allowed at The A-Frame?

Service animals are welcome. No other pets. Children under 12 are not permitted due to the bluff hazard — toddlers may be allowed with prior consent. The minimum age for the primary guest is 25.
